Sen. Lindsey Graham wasn’t impressed with President Barack Obama’s claim on Sunday that he wasn’t aware terrorism was involved in the attack on the U.S. consulate in Benghazi, Libya.
“Last year, he got the lie-of-the-year award for saying if you like your healthcare you could keep it. He’s going to have back-to-back titles for saying this,” the South Carolina Republican said Monday on Fox News Channel’s “Your World with Neil Cavuto.”
Graham was responding to Obama’s live interview with Fox News’ Bill O’Reilly during the Super Bowl pregame show. O’Reilly asked Obama about Benghazi and other subjects in an often contentious interview.
Graham said Obama’s words dishonored the four Americans killed in the attack on Sept. 11, 2012, and were an affront to their families. U.S. Ambassador Chris Stevens was among the dead, the first U.S. ambassador killed in the line of duty since 1979.
