  1. I am shocked that this former prisoner of Zion has abandoned the elements of Jewish identity he was moser nefesh for.
Shame on you Natan Shame on you

  2. Remember when we all davened for him?

Suddenly he’s a big mouthed advocate of feminist fanatics. Most likely it’s because they’re the only ones in the world crazy enough to give him a voice.

  3. This is a misinterpretation of what Sharansky said. He said that at a panel that I was on with him, regarding the Kotel.
What he said, in short, was that arresting WoW from the start was a stupid decision with bad repercussions, and the government learned that its a bad idea to arrest WoW and won’t be arresting them anymore. However, he said quite clearly that while they won’t be arrested, they still won’t be allowed to lein from a torah at the women’s sectiom- the torah simply won’t be allowed in, and if they somehow manage to bring it in, they’ll confiscate the torah or make the women leave, etc… They wont let kriyas hatorah happen in the women’s section. But no arrests.
Very different than what this is implying.

Saying that Sharansky supports reading from the sefer torah in the women’s section because of that quote is a misinterpretation of what Sharansky said. I was at the panel where he said that line, and this is the context that was missing:

  5. calm down everyone. He didn’t say he’d allow them to bring in and read from a Sefer Torah, just that they wouldn’t be arrested. The Sefer Torah will still be confiscated though…

  6. Sharansky ought to recall who were his benefactors’ when he was a refusenik.

A few knocks to his head ,maybe.

The seculars’ jumped on the bandwagon(as usual,of course) only after most of the work for him was accomplished

But He was appointed and picked for his position,BECAUSE he obviously was completely of his league ,and hence a wonderful puppet for those behind the scenes..

  7. people: read what is written, listen to what is said, and stop trying to find a readon to hate everyone who isn’t exactly like yourself. You are all a discrace to the Jewish People, Your families, and the memories ovf every jewish Martyr who died in God’s name
