Shomrim in Kiryas Tosh Hit By Suspicious Car

tosh-acccShomrim volunteers in Kiryas Tosh received a call at around 11 p.m. last night regarding a car whose occupants were throwing unknown objects at residents in the community.

The volunteer patrol members followed the vehicle in order to obtain a license plate number when the driver of the car hit one volunteer at thirty miles an hour. Witnesses said that the Shomrim member got thrown onto on to the roof of the car and then into the air while the driver fled.

Hatzolah medics rushed the man to the Sacracare Trauma Centre, where he is listed in stable condition. The street leading into Kiryas Tosh has remained closed and will stay closed for another few hours pending the investigation.

tosh-acc1Sources say that police have obtained the license plate number of the vehicle.

The Chassidic community of Tosh is located in Kiryas Tosh, Quebec, Canada, outside of Boisbriand, a suburb of Montreal. The community is led by the Tosher Rebbe, Rav Meshulam Feish Segal-Lowy, one of the oldest admorim in the world.
