DEADLY: Shots Fired at Washington Naval Yard

washington-naval-yard[LIVE VIDEO HERE.] Six people are reportedly dead and several more injured in a shooting at the Washington, D.C., headquarters of the Naval Sea Systems Command today around 8:30 a.m. D.C. Mayor Vincent Gray said the shooting appeared to be an “isolated incident.”

At least one shooter has been confirmed as dead, and D.C. police said they believe there are two other shooters at large and wearing military-style uniforms.. A D.C. police officer was identified as one of the victims and a base officer as another, as well as at least three civilians.

About 3,000 people work in the building. A temporary ground stop had been ordered at nearby Reagan National Airport, but it was lifted by 10 a.m. President Obama addressed the shooting during a press conference, saying that the people responsible will be “held accountable.” Read more at NBC News.
