sinai-student[Video and photos below.] Last night, the annual Lakewood parlor meeting on behalf of Sinai Academy was held at the home of Rabbi and Mrs. Eli Lesin. Clearly, the highlight of the event were the remarks delivered by a Sinai student who was just enrolled in the school two months ago. One week after he had a bris milah, he addressed the gathering, describing his youth and the fact that he never met his father and his mother was an atheist. Just a few months ago, he was a student at Lincoln High School, but he knew that, as a Jew, he wanted more. Thanks to Sinai Academy, he is learning Torah and being given the opportunity to live a Torah life. His remarks brought tears to many in the audience.

The guest speaker at the event was Rav Shlomo Feivel Schustal, rsh yeshiva, Yeshiva Gedolah Torah Temimah, and Rav Yehudah Svei, R”M at the Yeshiva of Philadelphia, also delivered remarks.

Just a question: Why was there so much talking while he was speaking? Not very respectful.

  3. Dan lekav zechus! I was there and the noise you hear is from the kitchen not the LR/DR where the chosuve bochur was speaking. It was a beautiful affair.

  7. Dear Naftulchik (as Rabbi Zucker endearingly called you),
First, I want to wish you mazel tov again! I had the esteemed pleasure of meeting you when you were at Rabbi Zucker’s house for Shabbos about 2 weeks ago(he is well known from his work with NCSY and OORAH’S BOYZONE). Naftuli, the “feinkeit” you displayed as a young man and your enthusiasm as you poured over a sefer with Rabbi Zucker the Shabbos I saw you in his home was so impressive to me. It is hard to believe that you are, in a sense, a newcomer to the world of “frumkeit”. I was very moved as I watched the video of you giving a dvar Torah. May you continue to inspire other young men and continue to give much nachas to your family and Klal Yisroel.
