Snow to Cause Big Purim Headache for Northeast

snowMore snow moves into the Northeast tonight, Motzoei Taanis Esther, after a wintry mix of snow and rain has left roads and sidewalks a slushy mess.

A winter storm watch is in effect until 7 p.m. Thursday, Purim, for the Bronx, Manhattan, Westchester County, southern Connecticut and parts of northeast New Jersey.

A winter storm warning is in effect from 7 p.m. today until 7 p.m. Purim day for Brooklyn, Queens, Staten Island, parts of New Jersey and Long Island. Those areas could get between 4 and 8 inches of snow by the time it ends.

Less snow is predicted for Manhattan and the Bronx and southern Westchester County where 3 and 6 inches of snow is expected.
