edward-snowdenTo the undoubted chagrin of President Putin, Edward Snowden arrived for his asylum in Moscow empty-handed. The NSA leaker says he gave away all his classified documents to journalists in Hong Kong, and didn’t take any secret files to Russia when he departed “because it wouldn’t serve the public interest.”

He assured that the Chinese government was similarly devoid of documents because, despite U.S. allegations, his knowledge of China’s intelligence capacity allowed him to protect his documents from spies.

“There’s a zero percent chance the Russians or Chinese have received any documents,” he said. The elusive Snowden also explained his reasons for becoming a whistle-blower, saying that, “The secret continuance of these programs represents a far greater danger than their disclosure.” Read more at The New York Times.

  1. Snowden SAYS he didn’t give any secrets to Russia or China.

We already know that he lied when he agreed to protect classified information. I would assume that he is lying now.
