The attack followed a series of attack in which one Israeli was killed in a hit and run near Chevron and two others lightly wounded in a vehicular attack at the Gush Etzion junction in the West Bank on Tuesday afternoon, Ynet reports.
The two Palestinian terrorists managed to stab the IDF soldier near Beit Hashalom in Chevron and lightly wounded him before a fellow soldier managed to shoot and kill both of the assailants.
Dozens of Kiryat Arba residents were trying to march towards Beit Hashalom in protest but were being blocked by police. The area was blocked off and searches were being carried out.
Earlier in the day, Avraham Asher Hasano, 50, from Kiryat Arba, was killed near Fawwar, southwest of Chevron.
Several hours later, a terrorist tried to ram into Israelis waiting at a bus stop at the Gush Etzion junction. The terrorist left his car with a knife drawn and tried to stab his victims.
In a separate incident near Chevron, a Palestinian was killed during riots near the Palestinian town of Beit Awa after trying to stab an IDF officer. The attacker threw himself on the troops, lightly wounding one soldier. The soldiers then opened fire on the attacker, killing him. Read more at Ynet.
