At 2 a.m. this Motzoei Shabbos, leil Purim, Sunday, March 12, clocks will move an hour ahead – or spring forward – to begin daylight saving time 2016.

Many electronic devices, like your cell phone and computer, automatically adjust when Daylight Saving Time begins or ends.

As you will be losing an hour, plan your night – and morning – accordingly, so that you can maximize your simchas Purim.

Ah freilichen Purim to all!~

  1. Last year this happened to us in Yerushalayim when the clocks moved forward on Purim leil tes-vav. It was brutal, especially that tes-vav came out on Friday! Thank G-d this year it’s on a Monday and now clock issues….It’s going to be an AAMMMAAZZZINGGG Purim in Yerushalayim!!!!

  2. Plan it? How can we plan it? By the time we get back from Megilla leining with all the annoying people clopping and making a racket by EVERY haman, it will already be late. And then to go start collecting, we will never get to sleep. We will end up being wasted Purim day. Nu nu.

  3. Purim day is not shorter as a result of daylight-savings time.
The day ends after shkia, which is an hour later on Sunday than it was the previous day!
