Munther Omar Saleh was “making efforts to prepare an explosive device for detonation in the New York metropolitan area on behalf of ISIL,” according to court papers filed by Special Agent Christopher Buscaglia with the U.S. District Court of the Eastern District of New York.

The complaint also states that Saleh’s online presence showed a strong and violent jihadist ideology and support of ISIS, once claiming that al Qaeda was “too moderate.”

He was also translating propaganda into English for circulation. Saleh was arrested when he allegedly confronted law enforcement officers who had him under surveillance. Read more at the New York Post.
