Study: Nagging By A Spouse Could Shorten Your Life

marriageIt is a part of marriage that everyone loathes – the occasional or, in some cases, constant nagging between spouses. Word has now come that nagging is not only annoying, but can even be life-threatening.

As new study suggests husbands of nagging wives can actually be nagged to death. Danish researchers from the University of Copenhagen said having a nagging partner can significantly shorten one’s life, and could result in three extra deaths per 100 people per year. The study also said people nagged by their spouses are more likely to get heart disease and cancer.

The study also says men in particular are at risk. Men who said they faced ‘many’ demands from their partner or family and friends were more than twice as likely to die compared to women in the same category who were 34 per cent more likely to die.

Researchers from the study concluded that “men were especially vulnerable to frequent worries/demands from their partner, contradicting earlier findings suggesting that women were more vulnerable.” The reason given was that men, unlike women, do not share their problems with close friends or family.

The study followed nearly 10,000 Danish men and women between the ages of 36 and 52.

If the Mizbayach shed’s tears, as stated in Gemmorah, at divorce, this generation would be get flooded by torrents of water. Sure some marriages aren’t great but the disasters that the new, in-style, divorces have become the norms is an epidemic. Nagging is the result, usually, of laziness and non-compliance where it could and should have not occurred.
Husbands, think a little into it and begrudgingly, you’ll have to agree that I pose a good point!

  4. Gone are the days of permissive innocence. Now you can get a tax exemption from the song of demand for not taking out the trash. Bad kibbies!!!
