Sunday: Uplifting Tisha B’Av Program at Yeshiva Darchei Torah


tisha b'avOn Sunday, Mesivta Chaim Shlomo at Yeshiva Darchei Torah of Far Rockaway, NY, in conjunction with Achiezer Community Resource Center, will hold an uplifting Tisha B’Av program for men and women of the community titled “Mourning and Meaning: Absorbing the Message of Tisha B’av.”

Shacharis will begin at 8:30 a.m., followed by Kinnos interspersed with divrei hisorerus from (not necessarily in this order): Rav Shlomo Avigdor Altusky, rosh yeshiva, Beis Medrash Heichal Dovid; Rabbi Elisha Horowitz, Rav, Agudas Achim of Lawrence; Rav Zevi Trenk, menahel, Mesivta Chaim Shlomo; Rav Paysach J. Krohn, noted author, lecturer, and mohel; Rav Shay Schachter, Rosh Bais Medrash, Young Israel of Woodmere; and Rav Moshe Weinberger, rov of Cong. Aish Kodesh.

Mincha will follow at approximately 1:30 p.m.

The program will be held at Mesivta Chaim Shlomo, located at 211 Beach 17 Street at the corner of Seagirt Blvd. in Far Rockaway. Parking will be available in the Beach 19th Street parking lot.
