Survey: Shas Falls From Seven To Five

A Midgam Institute survey conducted among five hundred respondents found that if elections were held now, Shas would fall to five mandates from the seven it has at present while UTJ would retain its six seats. Likud would have 28 seats, Yair Lapid’s Yesh Atid party 21, Labor under the leadership of newly elected Labor leader Avi Gabbay 14, the Joint Arab List 13, Kulanu 11, Bayit Yehudi 9, Yisrael Beiteinu seven and Meretz 6.

28% of respondents said they wanted Binyomin Netanyahu as prime minister and Yair Lapid came in at second place with 19%.

  1. Shas is too radical. They will be down to 3 seats. We need mainstream party. Live and let live. Some see Shas as Taliban lite and very few disagree. Bibi is very good and so is his tribe.
