Syria’s foreign minister said Thursday that Damascus is ready to participate in Geneva peace talks in an effort to form a national unity government.
During a visit to Beijing, Walid al-Moualem said he told Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi that Syria was “ready to participate in the Syrian-Syrian dialogue in Geneva without any foreign interference.”
The UN Security Council on Friday unanimously passed a resolution endorsing an international plan for a Syrian peace process.
“Our delegation will be ready as soon as we receive a list of the opposition delegation,” Moualem said. Read more.
