[See Matzav’s original post here.] As many of you may have already heard, our precious nephew Dovi is in serious critical condition and remains in a coma after being hit in the head with a baseball Thursday evening. He was playing ball with his father and twin brother in the backyard, when the ball hit his head and he went into cardiac arrest. Dovi is an adorable 11 year old boy who is always filled with so much energy and is fueled by his love for learning and sports. Dovi has a second half, his twin brother Moish. They are two peas in a pod and are inseparable in everything that they do. Moish is lost without his brother by his side and needs our help to bring a nes so that they can go back to enjoying living life to its fullest, together.

The Steipler Gaon, one of the greatest Rabbis of our time, once said that giving money to Hachnasas Kallah (brides in financial need) is a special segulah (merit) for a refuah (recovery from an illness). He cited the source that in “Eilu Devarim” (a prayer said each morning) when it lists select mitzvos (commandments), the mitzvah of hachnasas kallah separates the two mitzvos of Bikur Cholim (visiting the sick) and Levayas Hames (escorting the dead). This shows us that the mitzvah of Hachnasas Kallah has the power of bringing about a yeshuah (salvation).

Tiferes Devorah L’Kallah is a well known organization that helps kallahs (brides) in need. They provide kallahs with all essential household items and lighten the enormous financial burden that parents face when making a wedding.

If everyone can please help donate to this incredible organization in the zechus (merit) that Hashem should bring Dov Ber ben Shoshana Roiza a full refuah. It should also be a zechus for a full refuah for Rochel bas Esther. DONATE HERE.

Thank you all and tizku l’mitzvos.

With all our love,

The Sass and Hilsenrath Siblings
