Rav Chaim Shlomo Leibowitz, rosh yeshiva of Ponovezh Yeshiva in Bnei Brak, was hospitalized early this morning at the intensive care unit at Sheba Medical Center in Tel Hashomer after falling at night at his home in Bnei Brak and injuring his head.
Upon hearing of the hospitalization of Rav Leibowitz, at 5 a.m., hundreds gathered at Ponovezh to recite Tehillim.
Experts at the hospital consulted with Rabbi Elimelech Firer to determine whether or not to have surgery performed, but as time passes, it appears that this will not be necessary and the injuries are apparently not life-threatening.
All are asked to daven for Rav Chaim Shlomo ben Tzaitel Leah.
