Today, Rav Avrohom Chaim Levin, rosh yeshiva of Yeshivas Telshe in Chicago, was asked by a talmid who one should vote for in today’s US presidential election between Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton.
The rosh yeshiva smiled and said, “I voted for Mr. Trump and you should also.”
Rav Levin is a senior member of the Moetzes Gedolei Hatorah of Agudas Yisroel of America and the chairman of Vaad Roshei Hayeshivos of Torah Umesorah.
One of the most prominent talmidim of Rav Elya Meir Bloch zt”l and Rav Mottel Katz zt”l, roshei yeshiva of Yeshivas Telshe in Cleveland, Rav Levin is the only son of Rav Leizer Levin zt”l, longtime rov of Detroit and talmidof the Chofetz Chaim. Rav Levin’s wife, Rebbetzin Esther Levintichyeh, is a daughter of Rav Efraim Mordechai Ginsburg zt”l, rosh yeshiva of Mirrer Yeshiva, and granddaughter of Rav Chatzkel Levenstein zt”l, famed mashgiach of Mir and Ponovezh.
Rav Levin currently leads the Telshe Yeshiva in Chicago together with his brother-in-law, Rav Chaim Dov Keller.

Yup. Every person should vote for trump.
Im not saying he’s completely clean. Definitely the Republican choice.
Beautiful
But, but, but… EVERYBODY knows that Hillary is a kind, sweet lady, who remembers people’s bar mitzvahs, and every Orthodox Jew should vote for her because she’ll be better for Israel and Yiddishkeit. Obviously the Rosh Yeshiva is misinformed or MATZAV is dissimulating. [that was sarcasm, in case some people missed it. Bitter sarcasm at that.]
Do you have a video? How are you so sure?
A video? What does a video have to do with authenticity? We require two kosher aidim.
But even a goy is believed in many cases of milsa d’avida ligluyai.
Were not voting for saints and angels , were voting for capable people.
Hilliry will NOT draft the yeshivasha bochrim
This is exactly why we need to vote for Trump.
Exactly :
In New York, vote Trump for President and Wendy long for Senate.
May donald win
the Satmarim both endorsed Clinton . . .
Lol.
Beautiful. True jewish leaders who care about true yiidishkeit.
Trump supports school choice — including religious schools — allowing the money to follow the child instead of the other way around. This means your children’s schools will have more money! Hillary opposes this, fully supporting the failed government school system and wanting to force your children into an environment of secularist propaganda.
Trump staunchly supports Israel and Hillary pays lip-service while hugging and kissing Suha Arafat — remember that from 20 years ago? — after she accused Jews of poisoning Palestinian wells. Hillary also backed the deal that puts Iran on a glide-path to nuclear weapons. Donald… well, we know where he stands on that one!
For these two reason ALONE, every yid should cast his/her ballot for Trump. However, we all know what’s really going to happen: 70-80% of Jews are going to vote for Hillary, being the socialist “sheeple” that they are. Sad.
Trump is gonna lose and we will have lost favor with the new President Clinton.
You can thank Matzav for that. They had to be right at all costs and stick with their narrative.
A majority of Jews will still vote for her, and many will still donate, and she knows that. “We” have not lost favor.
When people point out how much of a menuval Trump (and he is one, no doubt), my response is that our view is distinguish between liberal social policies (ala Clinton) and conservative ones, such as those espoused by a mysognist and womanizer like Trump. So its policies we have to look at, regardless of how much of a disgrace personally the candidate may be. Otherwise, how could Jewish liberals consistently vote for a cad like Bill Clinton – they looked as his liberal policy positions. Add to that Clinton’s support for Obama’s positions on Israel, her support of the dangerous Iran deal, and that why somebody would not be out of their mind not to vote for Donald C. Trump, though you may have to hold your nose doing it.
I would like to hear his reasons for why we should vote for Trump. What was most important to him?
Hope to wake up in tye morning with good civil rights.
We are voting for president not Pope
Trump had NO chance of winning, period
