Residents of the Telz Stone settlement near Yerushalayim were shocked at a sudden leap of 7.5% in city taxes and a reevaluation of new apartments that retroactively increased their floor area and tax rate.
The community’s 4,500 religious residents, among them many English speakers, have hired attorneys to alleviate the situation.
