Apple may be planning to unveil its wearable device as soon as this October, according to multiple reports. Tech website Recode reports that the Apple watch will use health-data tracker system Healthkit and display the data in a separate, upcoming iOS 8 app called Health.
Nikkei also reports an October debut date, adding that Apple plans to produce 3 to 5 million of the devices each month in partnership with Nike, which scaled back on its own efforts on the Fuelband fitness tracker earlier this year. Read more at Recode.
