honig-kollelDear Kehilla member,

You are all well aware that the modern day economy poses both enormous challenges and opportunities to every member of our community. “Ish es ra’aihu yaazoru ul’achiv yomar chazak;” we have the power to help ourselves -and others- by teaming up with other communities and exchanging ideas and sharing resources.

On February 12, 2013, history will iy”H be made when tens of thousands from across America will gather at the Meadowlands Exposition Center for the “Nationwide Parnassah Expo and Networking Event.” This first-of-its-kind community networking event is being hosted by the Learn and Network organization, which has several branches in New York, New Jersey and Israel. Learn and Network has already succeeded in providing an individualized framework for personal and financial growth to countless community members of all ages and income levels.

The upcoming expo follows Learn and Network inaugural Parnassah Expo last winter, which attracted a crowd of over 7,000 men and women, a great number of them accomplishing tangible business advancement or securing jobs. This year’s expo takes the concept to a whole new level, filling over 60,000 square feet of the Exposition Center with unprecedented opportunity for “Every age; Every stage.”

Whether you own a business, are in the workforce or are contemplating entering either sphere, the event has enormous potential to help you. There will be a major “Industries” section, where scores of companies that service a particular industry will showcase their business to potential associates and clients, with special subsections for real estate and construction, health care, technology, import/export and manufacturing, and “other.” Other sections include a job fair for job openings large and small; social services and headhunting corporations; academic and vocational training programs; general business enhancement tools and services; and an array of seminars by successful businessmen and coaches.

In addition, there will be a special Investors Circle, facilitated by Learn and Network’s special business capital division, to help ambitious entrepreneurs network with potential investors in their ideas. A special networking corner will be set aside in each section, to help those with common interests discuss the road to mutual success.

Businessmen and activists from communities as diverse as Boro Park, Flatbush, Marine Park, Far Rockaway/Five Towns, Cleveland, Lakewood, Los Angeles, Montreal and beyond have taken a leading role in reaching out to individuals and businesses in their midst. A host of corporate, organizational and media sponsors have already committed to making the event as successful and far reaching as possible.

We urge you to join this growing segment of klal Yisroel and partake in this endeavor by making plans to attend and reserve a booth, where applicable.

Sincerely,

Duvi Honig

P.S. For more information about reservations (including pre-registering for networking groups) or to take advantage of the special rates for early reservations, please visit www.parnassahexpo.com or email [email protected].

  1. I agree with Shlomo Zalman.

While this is expo is a very good idea, as long as the “kehilla’s” attitude toward secular studies remains negative, the parnossah crisis will get worse not better.

  2. Unfortunatly, these expo’s are a waste of time. Unless you’re educated, trained, have experience, or have major connections, nothing is going to happen. If you look at the crowd of “job seekers”, they tend to be mostly losers. I hate to say it, but we have to deal with reality.

  3. Duvi,,there should be a booth for vocational and technical education options.

Let yeshiva students know how they can use a Yeshiva Degree as a BA to enter different graduate fields. Not everyone is made out to be in business or has the head, stamina or passion for that.

  4. to #1 who says they have no education? There are many people with degrees that don’t have jobs. Maybe you should think twice before judging people you don’t know. There are also many careers that dont require a university degree as well as degrees that will not get you a job that will pay well enough to make it worth getting. You can’t really help these people like shlomo zalman who doesn’t know that Hashem gives people parnassa problems and its up to everyone to do what we can to help them. Yesher Koach to those organizing this event and learn to love others those who hate.

  5. I went to one of these things in Madison Square Garden, a number of years ago, gave my resume to anything that moved, and nobody ever called me. I think, that these job expo’s are a hoax!

  6. it doesn’t shock me, due to many reasons, one of them being

Why is the economy so bad today? Why is the whole world going down? For the past thousands of years there was always Avoda zara in the world-from the molech to the baal to the asheira tree etc…-todays avoda zara is MONEY, we are a servant to money, we serve money, we bow down to money, we let money talk & rule us. Thus we leave Hashem no choice but to take it away from us Rachmana L’tzlan. But you can still save yourself from going down. if a person can use his money the right way & remember that it all comes from Hashem & it was just loaned to him (even though he worked for it), then he is the perfect person to continue holding Hashem’s money.

i’m watching as the situation & economy gets worse & worse. And the craziest part about it is, that it doesn’t surprise me or shock me this entire country is about to collapse slowly but surely. The world is run by Hashem & nobody else (not obama or the gedolim etc…)

you can save yourself now from losing everything, by stopping on depending on the government & depend on Hashem alone & then you will not lack anything & actually have a smooth & happy life.

    HATZLACHA

  7. When you post arrogant comments which refer to the currently unemployed as “losers” or advise people to “Go to school, and get a job,it’s that simple”…your whole campaign loses credibility.
ARE THESE CONCEITED AND FACT-CHALLENGED PEOPLE the future employers of your attendees??
