It is with great sadness that we report the sudden passing this morning of Rav Dovid Tzvi Shlomo Horochik zt”l, the Radoshitzer Rebbe of Ramat Beit Shemesh. He was just 62 years old.

He passed away this morning at his home in Ramat Beit Shemesh Bais.

The Rebbe was recently suffering from pneumonia and breathing difficulties. This morning, paramedics were called to his home and but his soul had returned to its Creator.

The Rebbe was both on 29 Shevat 1954. His father was Rav Chaim Eliezer Horonchik zt”l, son-in-law of Rav Moshe Mordechai Biderman zt”l of Lelov.

The Rebbe was a son-in-law of the Chukei Chaim of Shomrei Emunim zt”l, in whose shadow he basked often, especially during the Yomim Noraim.

After his marriage, the Rebbe lived in Bnei Brak, where he established the Shema Yisroel mosdos, bringing many Jews closer to their Father in Heaven. His bais medrash was located on Rechov Chabakuk.

After several years, the Rebbe moved to Ramat Beit Shemesh and established a Talmud Torah and other mosdos over the years. He was known for his powerful oratory and his ability to draw Yidden close to Hakadosh Boruch Hu.

The Rebbe is survived by ten children and many grandchildren. The Rebbe was a mechutan of the admorim of Chernobel, Stropkov, Kuzmir, Kretchnif Kiryat Gat, the Gaavad of Chug Chasam Sofer, and others. His sons include Rav Aharon Yosef, Rav Zusha, Rav Yisroel, who is a R”M in Yeshivas Aleksander, Rav Shalom of Monsey, NY, and Rav Shimon.

The levaya was held this morning at the Rebbe’s bais medrash in Ramat Beit Shemesh and then at the Shomrei Emunim Bais Medrash in Yerushalayim.

Yehi zichro boruch.
