It is with great sadness that we report the passing of the Sadigerer Rebbe, Rav Avrohom Yaakov Friedman zt”l, this morning at the age of 84.
The Rebbe was taken by ambulance to Maayanei Hayeshua Medical Center in Bnei Brak having suffered from pneumonia for several days and his condition deteriorating.
The Rebbe was born in Vienna, Austria, to his father, the Sadigerer Rebbe, Rav Mordechai Shalom Yosef Friedman zt”l, and his mother, Rebbetzin Mirel Raizel Friedman zt”l. The family moved to Pshemishel, Poland, in 1934, and shortly before the Second World War, the Rebbe moved to Eretz Yisroel and later, after the war, resettled in Crown Heights, Brooklyn.
The Rebbe subsequently returned to Eretz Yisroel, where he founded the Ruzhiner Yeshiva on Rechov Ezra in Bnei Brak. He married his wife, Rebbetzin Tziporah, a daughter of Rav Yosef Aryeh Friedman zt”l. She passed away six years ago.
After the previous Rebbe was niftar in 1979, the Rebbe succeeded him, and in 1989 he was chosen to join the Moetzes Gedolai Hatorah of Agudas Yisroel.
The Rebbe is survived by his only son, Rav Tzvi Yisroel Moshe Friedman, rov of the Sadigerer kehillah in London, and his sons-in-law, Rav Pinchos Shapira of Tel Aviv and Rav Shmuel Zanvil Sharf of the United States.
The leveya is now being held at the Sadigerer Bais Medrash on Rechov Gutmacher in Bnei Brak.

The Tzibbur is asked to Daven for Rav Shlomo Brevda, Shlita, who is suffering from a serious illness and needs our Tefillos. Saying Tehillim daily in his Zechus for the Refuah Shelaima of “Rav Shlomo Leib Ben Miriam” would be greatly appreciated.
Rav Brevda requested that we increase the intensity of our Tefillos during Dovening and say Tehillim (day and/or night) whenever the opportunity arises. He feels in very dire straights. Please request that a Misheberech to be said for the Rav during Kryias HaTorah weekday and Shabbos.

another tzaddik & leader has left the world & there are many more to leave RL in the future RL, more then 110 have left us in the past 20 months, ITS SHOCKING & TRAGIC (1 a week average) no need for me to say more.
the choice is ours how many more will leave us RL, theres no one to blame but ourselves & its our loss not the tzaddiks
may we all finally accept Hashems wake-up call for teshuva & do something about it, so the tzaros in klal yisroel can end ASAP.
