It is with great sadness that we report the passing of the Zvhiller Rebbe, Rav Avrohom Goldman zt”l, in Yerushalayim. The Rebbe was admitted to Shaarei Tzedek Hospital last night after losing consciousness. This morning, his neshama returned to its Creator.
The Rebbe was born seventy six years ago on the eleventh of Tishrei. After the petirah of his father, Rav Mordechai of Zvhill, Rav Avrohom was crowned as admor of Zvhill and led the chassidus for many years, guiding and inspiring his many followers.
The Rebbe is survived by his wife, Rebbetzin Itta, and 11 children, 9 boys and 2 girls. His sons are R’ Moshe Gedaliah, R’ Shlomo, R’ Shaul, R’ Shmuel Dovid, R’ Meshulam Zusia, R.’ Yitzchok, R’ Yosef, R’ Volf and R’ Yaakov Leib. His daughters are Mrs. Hofstein, wife of R’ Shlomo Hofstein, and Mrs. Rabinowitz, wife of R’ Pinchos Yirmiyahu Rabinowitz.
The levaya was slated to begin at 2:30 p.m. from the Zvhiller Bais Medrash in the Bais Yisroel section of Yerushalayim. Kevurah is scheduled to take place on Har Hazeisim.
