rav-uri-zoharThis Sunday morning, January 13th, Flatbush will unite again for P’eylim / Lev L’Achim at the annual Breakfast Reception to be held in the expansive Ballroom of the Agudah of Avenue L.

Under the leadership of Executive Board Chairman Yanky Arem, the Flatbush event has come to encompass 86 groups including 70 Shuls and 16 summer colonies. Close to 10,000 personalized letters went out on the letterhead of the more than 120 chairmen who served as the representatives of their shuls and summer groups.

The program will include Divrei Bracha from the Mara D’Asra of the Agudah of Avenue L, Rav Moshe Tuvia Lieff shlit’a and an Eyewitness Report by the dynamic Rabbi David Ozeri shlit’a whose experience on the front lines with Lev L’Achim has regaled audiences in Deal and Lakewood.

Once again Rav Uri Zohar shlit’a will speak on behalf of the Hanhala of Lev L’Achim and provide the background for the moving event in Eretz Yisroel which we in New York will have the privilege to see and hear via the video monitors. It is near impossible to describe the stages a teenaged youth in Eretz Yisroel goes through to advance from being totally secular to the point where he can learn a piece of Gemara. The crowning achievement of their courageous lives is when they can celebrate a siyum. You need not imagine what it would be like if their siyum would be held in the humble home of the Gadol HaDor, Maran HaRav Aharon Leib Shteinman shlit’a. Instead, come witness the event firsthand.

Avrohom Banda and his team from Pomegranate will be putting out their amazing spread which was the talk of the town last year and the year before and the year before that.
