  1. The larger the size of the menorah, the more we bring kiddish Hashem? I do not think so. I think it separates us from our own sanity at a certain level. Personally I think a menorah should not be bigger than the average size of a man. Call me old fashioned. This was never the Israel of ancient times ever.

  2. What a terrible Chillul Hashem! Have you learnt anything from this long and bitter Galus? Why must you be in the Goyim’s face? You are equating Chanuka with Xmas!

  3. Some people will never get it,
And as my grandfather would say:
    ……? ??? ??? ??? ??? ??????????

    A freilechin chanukah to all

  4. This sickens me to no end. What a pathetic distortiuon of the true Mitzvah. Rav Shach Ztzl forsaw this dangerous behaviour and warned against it in the stronget possible terms

  5. #2 Chillul Hashem?? al pesach beiso MIBACHUTZ is not a chillul if anything it is a kiddush Hashem the goyim RESPECT religious observance when done with pride and geone yaakov.
    a freilichin Chanukah to all

  6. #1,

“This was never the Israel of ancient times ever.”

Yes it was – even prior to the Chanukah story! Yep, after the churban of the first Beis Hamikdash there were Jews who said “niyeh kechol hagoyim Beis Yisrael”. They wanted their own identity, but in a non-Jewish fashion. It’s sadly not new.
