Tisha B’Av Program to Stream Live Here on MATZAV All Day Tisha B’Av

For over thirty-five years, the Flatbush, Kensington, Boro Park and neighboring communities have come together to mourn the churban Beis Hamikdash in a uniquely dignified way in what is known as the “Tisha B’Av Program.”  Participants in this gathering include a diverse group of individuals from a wide spectrum of the community.

This year, the program will begin on the eve of Tisha B’Av, Motzei Shabbos, at 9:30 p.m., with Ma’ariv, followed by Eicha, Kinnos and divrei chizzuk. The program will resume in the morning with Shacharis at 8:00 a.m., followed by the recitation of selected kinnos accompanied by commentary and elucidation.  After chatzos, the program will continue with eight presentations by distinguished Rabbanim and Roshei Yeshivos that will reflect upon the major themes of the day. The program will also include Mincha and Ma’ariv. Please see the schedule below for more details about the program.

The Tisha B’Av Program will be held at the Ocean Parkway Jewish Center, 550 Ocean Parkway, between 18th Avenue and Ditmas Avenue.  We urge all those who can join us in person to do so to experience the program to its fullest extent. For those who are unable to attend in person, the program may be viewed online, LIVE, here at Yeshiva World.  Please join us either way! In the past, many have said that they have derived inspiration and strength from the program that remains with them throughout the year and beyond.

  1. Last nights masses gathering for an Atzeres Zaakah
regarding the terrible Gzeiroh of שמד in E Y was a sell out.

Harav Ahron Shechter Shlita called for the asifa at camp Morris.

B”H Many Roshei Yeshivos were in attendence.

Harav Aron Shechter addressed the crowd with shockingly energy for his age and usual strenghths. He bemoaned the terrible Gzeiros in both Giyus Bnei Yeshivos and Giyos Bonos, going on to say a Mamar on the Maadreiga of Yitzchock Ovinu and the power of being “Kulo LaHashem like a Korban Oleh”. The Rosh Yeshiva Said “We will not give in even one inch”.

Harav Malkiel Kotler then addressed the crowd, speaking about the terrible sittuation we are in and the magnitude of the tragedy of the new Law. With deep insights as to the our obligation to do Teshuva, and the terrible Gzeira on the Torah itself, which threatens both the spiritual ans physical well being of our brothers and sisters in E Y.

In Beis Feiga a big crowd came it was Mamesh wall to wall to watch the speeches by live hookup

Harav Yisrael Brog who flew in special from Cleveland for the Lakewood Asifa at Bais Feiga, said over from his Rebbe R’ Meir Soleveithchik ZT”L who called him personally a few years ago and instructed him to speak about this issue of Schmad. In his charismatic manor the Rosh Yeshiva brought to life the hatred and threat from the Zionists to uproot all that is holy to us.

After that Tzibur recited Tehillim with great emotion.
