rav-matisyahu-salomonFor years, Mr. and Mrs. Moshe Frankel hosted Rav Avrohom Pam zt”l at their home for a breakfast in support of Shuvu. The annual event, attended by rabbonim and hundreds of participants, quickly became a red-letter date on the community calendar.

Although the rosh yeshiva is no longer with us, Shuvu’s vital work continues, and this year’s breakfast will be hosted this morning, at 9:30 a.m., at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Abe Belsky, located at 16 Boxwood Lane in Lawrence. And this year, Rav Pam’s tradition will be continued by the Lakewood mashgiach, ybl”c Rav Matisyahu Salomon.

As six of Shuvu’s schools tottered on the brink of insolvency last year, Klal Yisroel rallied to save these schools, maintaining  the entire network of Shuvu schools that has transformed Eretz Yisroel’s Russian immigrant community, and indeed the face of Eretz Yisroel itself.

Today, the schools are functioning with renewed energy and growth, but the need for communal support is greater than ever.

This morning, join the mashgiach in supporting Shuvu, the revolutionary movement that is changing the Torah landscape of Artzeinu Hakedoshah. Rabbi Elisha Horowitz and the rabbonim of the Five Towns community will pay tribute to the organization founded by Rav Pam.
