fjccIn a response to the alarming rise in terror across the globe and community requests for tangible ideas and training to help secure our Yeshivas, schools, and Shuls, the Flatbush Jewish Community Coalition, (FJCC), is organizing an anti-terrorism training seminar this Monday, January 19 in conjunction with the NYPD and NYS Department of Homeland Security.

The free ninety minute safety seminar is designed for Yeshiva Principals, Administrators, teachers, Shul representatives, community activists and members of the public who may be interested. The program will take place at the Chaim Berlin Elementary School, 911 E. 13 st. at 2:30 PM.

“Last weeks terror attack in a Paris Kosher Supermarket as well as the shocking assault on a Har Nof Shul last month and other tragic events have caused grave concern in Jewish communities worldwide” said Josh Mehlman, FJCC Chairman. “It is important that those responsible for the safety of our schools and Shuls become more proficient in how to best prevent attacks and how to handle worst case scenarios.”

The NYPD will be providing an active shooter and a terror prevention training seminar. A NY State Homeland Security presentation will provide participants the latest intelligence and advice for keeping our community safe.

The training session is open to men and women. Catered refreshments will be served.
As this is a confidential security briefing, only approved photos and recordings will be permitted.

For more information or to RSVP, contact the FJCC at [email protected] or 347-729-1940.
