Tonight: Bais Yaakov Academy of Queens 51st Anniversary Dinner

eden-palaceBais Yaakov Academy of Queens will be celebrating 51 years of premier chinuch habanos at its annual dinner, tonight, Motzoei Shabbos Parshas Terumah, at Eden Palace Hall in Williamsburg. Under the leadership of the legendary, beloved mechanech, Rabbi Moshe Neuman, who is assisted by his equally capable, energetic son, Rabbi Nosson Neuman, Bais Yaakov Academy of Queens is home to over 650 talmidos, bli ayin harah, ranging in age from kindergarten to eighth grade, who hail from the Queens and Long Island communities.

The secret of Bais Yaakov’s success is the strong partnership developed by Rabbis Moshe and Nosson Neuman, enlisting the resources of top-notch mechanchos and teachers, and involving the parents in cultivating the best educational environment for the children. The school offers a well-rounded program of challenging academics in both the Hebrew and secular departments, while maintaining a strong focus on middos development and extra-curricular activities. Throughout the day, Bais Yaakov’s experienced teachers use their individual talents and creativity to teach to every level, while nurturing each child’s self-esteem and confidence with their warmth and concern.

At the dinner tonight, Bais Yaakov will recognize distinguished honorees who have contributed so much as parents, educators and friends of the mosad. Community askanim Ori and Elisa Alpert will be honored as Guests of Honor. The Kesser Shem Tov Award will be bestowed upon Yaakov and Tova Begun. The Machzikei Torah Award will be presented to Mark and Meira Kutner. Mrs. Esther Kirschbaum, the devoted Pre-School Director for 25 years, will receive the Educator’s Award.

The dinner will feature a special “trip down memory lane” with members of the Class of 1970.

The dinner journal is dedicated to the memory of Mr. Daniel Sukenik z”l, the indomitable champion of Bais Yaakov’s existence for almost fifty years, who was niftar last year.
