Tonight: Yeshiva Gedola of Passaic Dinner to Honor Stern Family

rav-meir-sternTonight, Mr. Sholom (Alfred) and Mrs. Eva Stern will be the Guests of Honor at the dinner of Yeshiva Gedola of Passaic. Mr. & Mrs. Stern, cousins of the rosh yeshiva, Rav Meir Stern, are renowned for their involvement in mosdos haTorah, as well as hachnosas orchim and bikur cholim in Boro Park. They have been helpful to the Passaic Yeshiva since its inception. Their son, Rabbi Nosson Stern of Monsey, as well as a number of their Stern, Chopp and Liebhard grandchildren, are talmidim of the rosh yeshiva.

Yeshiva Gedola of Passaic, now in its 37th year, has earned a worldwide reputation for excellence. Talmidim clamor to learn under the rosh yeshiva and be inspired by his middas ha’emes, hatznei’ah leches and ehrlichkeit.

Mr. and Mrs. Mendy Hirth, longtime talmid and confidante of the rosh yeshiva, will receive the Tomchei Torah Award. The Hirths, now also parents at the yeshiva, have continued their family’s strong support of the yeshiva since its very beginning.

The yeshiva will also honor Rabbi and Mrs. Eliyahu Klagsbrun, distinguished members of the Passaic/Clifton community and parents of the yeshiva. Mr. and Mrs. Boruch Stauber of Monsey will receive the Talmid Award in recognition of their loyalty and staunch support of the yeshiva.

The dinner will take place at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Secaucus, NJ.

  1. Honor and the Sterns is an oxymoron. They so their kllal work from pure hearts, and are a role model of what Yidden should be.
