Tragedy struck the community of Arad today when a baby left in a car was pronounced dead.
The six-month old girl was left in the hot car, suffered heat stroke, and lost consciousness.
Magen David Adom was notified shortly before 2 p.m. and paramedics’ resuscitation efforts at the scene, in the industrial section of Arad, were to no avail.
The child was no longer breathing and had no pulse by the time the paramedics arrived.
The car belonged to the child’s grandmother.
Several weeks ago, an 18-month-old baby left in a car in Ashdod passed away.
Unfortunately, these tragic incidents seem to occur every summer.
Update: The baby has been identified as Be’er Horovitz a”h from Chevron. The levayah and kevurah will take place at 8:30 p.m. at the Susya Bais Hachaim.
