Donald Trump spent his morning tweeting along with Fox & Friends. He showed particular interest in a segment featuring a group called Jexodus, which is encouraging Jewish people to leave the Democratic Party because of accusations of anti-Semitism by Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN).
The group accuses the Democrats of “hypocrisy, anti-Americanism, and anti-Semitism.”
On Twitter, Trump quoted Pipko saying: “Jewish people are leaving the Democratic Party. We saw a lot of anti Israel policies start under the Obama Administration, and it got worsts [sic] & worse. There is anti-Semitism in the Democratic Party. They don’t care about Israel or the Jewish people.”
Analysis from the Pew Research Center showed that roughly eight-in-10 Jewish voters (79 percent) voted for the Democrats in the 2018 midterm elections, higher than the share who did so in 2014.
