“I somewhat do,” President Trump said this afternoon when asked whether he feels vindicated by House Intelligence Chairman Devin Nunes’s claim that the NSA surveilled his transition team.
“I have seen intelligence reports that clearly show that the president-elect and his team were… monitored,” Nunes told the press little several hours earlier. “It had nothing to do with any criminal investigation.” The surveillance was not related to Russia, Nunes additionally said. Trump claimed earlier this month, in a series of tweets, that President Obama illegally wiretapped him during the 2016 campaign.
