Trump: Higher Taxes on the Rich Under Me

Donald Trump believes that even though his proposals would include cuts, taxes on the wealthy would likely go up during his hypothetical presidency.

“On my plan they’re going down. But by the time it’s negotiated, they’ll go up,” the presumptive GOP nominee said Sunday on ABC’s This Week. “I’d like to get [lowered taxes] and we’ll fight for it, but from a practical standpoint, it’s going to get renegotiated. And in my opinion, the taxes for the rich will go up somewhat.”

The alleged billionaire real-estate mogul added that he is willing to pay a higher rate: “I am willing to pay more. And you know what? Wealthy are willing to pay more. We’ve had a very good run.” Read more at CNN.

  1. That’s Hannity the sell out gonna say now.
How Hannity claims to be a conservative and support this guy is Pelah.

  2. Trump never said they will go up higher on the rich than what they are paying now. He said that once negotiated they would go up higher than what his initial proposal would be, but still less than what it is now. See here the segment that deals with the taxes begins at 8:17. Also the link in this article to the original CNN story clearly says so as well. Whoever posted this article clearly did not read the CNN article carefully (if at all).

    • the higher than his proposal was on corporations since corporate tax in US is higher than the whole world but on the rich he said it would just plain go up. He also avoided defining who is considered “rich”.

      • where did you see that Trump made this distinction between corporations and rich people, do you have a source? The CNN article referenced here does not do so to the best of my understanding.

  3. Seems like Trump realizes he won’t get strong Republican support. Therefore he is going after Sanders voters
