Donald Trump Jr. mocked outgoing Sen. Al Franken after he announced his resignation on Thursday by invoking one of the former comedian’s “Saturday Night Live” most well-known characters.

“…because I’m good enough, I’m smart enough, and God-darnit people like me. #Franken,” Trump Jr. tweeted. The quote is a reference to Franken’s “SNL” character Stuart Smalley, who hosted the show’s mock segment “Daily Affirmations With Stuart Smalley.”

Franken also wrote a book in character as Smalley, titled “I’m Good Enough, I’m Smart Enough, & Doggone It, People Like Me!” Read more at The Hill.

  1. Is there room for the great leaders of tomorrow their greatest friends? Donald Junior is big. I can not wait to watch him grow. Maybe Al Franken will be making fun of him too soon. People never shut up.
