Trump: Obama May Be Worse than Carter

trumpRepublicans have the advantage in the current standoff with Democrats and the White House over the budget and the debt ceiling, says Donald Trump. But they have to stick together to win.

Trump, the billionaire real estate mogul and author of “Art of the Deal,” told Fox News Channel’s Sean Hannity Tuesday that the GOP has “the ultimate cards.” Still, they need to put out a unified message.

“John McCain, who is somebody I like, he said, we can’t win,” Trump said of the Republican Arizona senator. “How do you say we can’t win and we’re going into a negotiation?”

Trump noted that all parties in Washington dislike each other, but need to be civil to each other.

“I don’t think the president understands what’s going on with the level of anger in this country – the level of hatred in this country,” Trump said.

Asked by Hannity if Obama is the worst president in his lifetime, Trump noted that usually that title is given to Jimmy Carter.

“But this is coming awfully close.”
