Donald Trump has used social media extensively during his presidential campaign, but he said Monday he would stop using Twitter if he becomes president, Newsmax reports. Trump made the confession to a crowd in Warwick, R.I.
“You know, I tweeted today, @realDonaldTrump. I tweet,” Trump said, reports Politico.
“Don’t worry, I’ll give it up after I’m president. We won’t tweet anymore. I don’t know. Not presidential.”
Trump’s vow came after his wife Melania said last week she hopes he’ll give up using the social media network.
