Donald Trump said today that he and Hillary Clinton should be required to take drug tests before the third presidential debate, insinuating that something “is going on with her.”

“Athletes, they make them take a drug test. I think we should take a drug test prior to the debate. I do. I think we should, why don’t we do that? We should take a drug test prior, because I don’t know what’s going on with her. But at the beginning of her last debate she was all pumped up at the beginning and at the end she was like, ‘Oh, take me down.’ ”

“And she could barely even reach her car,” he said at the end, appearing to reference Clinton’s health scare last month, in which her knees buckled as she was escorted into her vehicle. She had pneumonia at the time.

Trump claimed overwhelming victories after the first two debates. The third presidential debate is scheduled to take place next Wednesday in Las Vegas.

On the stump, Trump regularly questions Clinton’s health and stamina and has suggested that Clinton does not have the energy needed to be president.

Clinton developed pneumonia last month and was seen stumbling at an event commemorating the victims of the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks. Trump initially avoided commenting on the episode.

Correct the Record, a pro-Clinton rapid response group, criticized Trump and accused him of peddling “more conspiracy theories about his opponents health.” They also knocked Trump’s connections to Breitbart News, an “alt-right” platform formerly run by Steve Bannon, who is now the Trump campaign’s chief executive.

“This is a completely outrageous statement that further proves he can’t help but peddle more conspiracy theories about his opponent’s health,” Correct The Record President Brad Woodhouse said in a statement. “He also continued his rigged election rhetoric which is dangerous and undermines our democracy and the election process. What else should we expect from a Breitbart-run campaign?”

During the campaign event, Trump referred to his GOP primary opponents, bragging about defeating them and mockingly contrasting their collective political experience to his own lack of experience before this election. Trump criticized the media for writing off his candidacy early on in his campaign.

“Don’t forget. I wasn’t supposed to win. I was a businessman with no experience, but I was always very political,” Trump said. “The geniuses back there – Charles Krauthammer, there’s a real winner, Charles Krauthammer says, ‘Donald Trump has no experience and he has no chance.'”
