President Donald Trump, addressing what his administration has characterized as an unwanted side effect of his zero-tolerance policy on illegal immigration, signed an executive order this afternoon to keep families who illegally cross the U.S. southern border together as they await immigration proceedings, Reuters reports.

The president signed an executive order halting his administration’s policy of separating migrant families detained at the border.

“It’s about keeping families together, while at the same time being sure that we have a very powerful, very strong border,” Trump said inside the Oval Office, flanked at his desk by Vice President Mike Pence and DHS Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen. “I didn’t like the sight or the feeling of families being separated,” the president said.

  1. I support this.
If they are allowed to temporarily stay in the usa while awaiting immigration proceedings, they should be allowed to stay together. I appreciate Trump signing the executive order.

  2. So all the Trumpets who have been regurgitating the Hannity lines about how it’s ok to separate families will suddenly talk about how great Trump is for uniting families. Yesterday it was just liberal propaganda saying that it’s wrong to separate families, but today it’s Torah min Limbaug that it’s cruel to separate families.

  3. Another loss for Obama and Bush with President Trump’s overturning their law of separating children from families which Fake News were covering up all these years.

    • How dare you speak that way about our first African American President?! You’re a racist and should be charged with a hate crime!

  4. DT’s big error,,,,,,,

glad he retracted on this,, chasdei hashem, perhaps part of his political play, never actually intended to separate families,, however, glad its done

  5. The comment made by ”Whatever” is so brilliant, and to the point… I take heart when I see a comment like yours, in a sea of…
