trumpDuring a segment on The Hugh Hewitt Show Thursday, Donald Trump was asked if he was familiar with General Qasem Suleimani, the leader of Iran’s Quds Force.

He began his response saying “The Kurds, by the way, have been horribly mistreated by…,” mixing up Quds with Kurds.

Trump was later upset that Hewitt was asking “gotcha” questions. “I will be so good at the military, your head will spin,” he continued. ”But obviously, I’m not meeting these people, I’m not seeing these people.” Read more at The Hill.

  1. No man is an encyclopedia. How can a single person know every leader from every Country by name? Now, of course, they would NEVER ask a Democrat these “gotcha” questions. It doesn’t fit the MO.

  2. and without their notes, these reporters know so much? The lesson Trump should take from this is to turn the question back to the reporters and get them to clarify what they are asking. “You did say Quds, not Kurds, am I correct?”

  3. No Big Deal?

Late in the interview, Hewitt asked: “So the difference between Hezbollah and Hamas does not matter to you yet, but it will?”

Trump replied: “It will when it’s appropriate. I will know more about it than you know, and believe me, it won’t take me long.”

  4. No big deal? One of the arguments that the opponents of the Iran deal has been making over and over has been that Suleimani benefits enormously from the end of sanctions. I guess the opponents must be lying because it isn’t important for a Presidential candidate to know about this.
