Trump Unveils Health-Care Overhaul Plan

Donald Trump unveiled his plan to reform the U.S. health-care system, calling for the repeal of the Affordable Care Act and turning Medicaid into a block-grant program to the states.

The seven-point plan calls for eliminating barriers that prevent the sale of health insurance across state lines and making insurance-premium payments fully tax deductible.

Trump’s plan to get rid of the individual mandate, which under the Affordable Care Act requires all Americans to have health insurance, contradicts remarks he made less than two weeks ago. “I like the mandate.
