President Donald Trump tweeted today that the price of the proposed wall on the southern border between the U.S. and Mexico will go “way down” after he negotiates. Trump’s tweet comes two days after Reuters reported that the wall could cost as much as $21.6 billion.
“I am reading that the great border WALL will cost more than the government originally thought, but I have not gotten involved in the design or negotiations yet,” Trump said in a series of tweets. “When I do, just like with the F-35 FighterJet or the Air Force One Program, price will come WAY DOWN!” Read more at THE HILL.
