President Donald Trump’s pick for ambassador to Israel, David Friedman, is set to apologize during his confirmation hearing on Thursday before a Senate committee for derogatory comments he made about liberal Jews year during the presidential campaign, Times of Israel reports.

The New York Times reported Tuesday that the 57-year-old Long Island native’s representatives told Democratic Senator Benjamin Cardin, of Maryland, the senior Democrat on the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, that he will express his regret for calling – in an op-ed last year for Arutz Sheva – supporters of the liberal Jewish group J Street “worse than kapos,” in reference to Jews who aided Nazis during the Holocaust.

  1. He didn’t refer to all liberal Jews as Kapos. He said that J street is worth than Kapos because the Kapos were under Nazi rule with Nazi guns pointed at their heads. But what excuse does J Street have for undermining Israel from the comfort of their couches in America? He should not apologize. He is 100% correct.

  2. Why is he apologizing? He’s 100% right.
“כל שנעשה רחמן על האכזרים, לסוף נעשה אכזר על רחמנים” (ר’ אלעזר, מדרש תנחומא לפרשת מצורע) .

  3. The only reason he should apologize is because they’re much worse than kapos – the kapos were forced or at least thought they’ll live by betraying their brothers. The wretches of j street and the like, have no vested interest other than promoting evil itself. George Tzoros is evil incarnate and so are his followers.
