TSA to Retrain ‘Thousands’ of Screeners

tsaThe TSA will retrain thousands of screeners after agents failed 67 of 70 security checks conducted by the Department of Homeland Security, the agency’s new director told The New York Times. 

Peter Neffenger said they will be trained to better screen security badges and locate prohibited items, among other objectives.

Neffenger also plans to cut down ways to get on expedited security check lines, with the exception of the TSA Pre-Check program. “I’m a big fan of a fully vetted population,” he said. Read more at The New York Times.
