turkish-foreign-minister-mevlut-cavusogluTurkey’s Foreign Minister, Mevlut Cavusoglu said today he had cancelled a plan to attend the Munich security conference in protest at the inclusion of Israeli representatives in a session on the Middle East, Arutz Sheva reports.

“I was going to participate in the conference but we decided not to after they included the Israeli representatives in the Middle East session,” Cavusoglu told the Anatolia news agency from Berlin.

He emphasized that the decision should not be seen as a move against Germany, stressing, “Our relationship with Germany is not limited with the Munich conference.”

Cavusoglu’s announcement is the latest step in the deterioration in Israel-Turkey relations, which have steadily deteriorated over the past several years and reached their lowest point following the 2010 Mavi Marmara incident.

  1. Now that Turkey is openly sponsoring terror attacks against Israel they should be expelled from NATO. They have cast their lot with Islamist terrorists and should pay the price. Also, why in the world is Israel still doing business with and allowing flights from the airline of a country that’s in competition with Iran for “Who hates Israel more”?

  2. And yet Turkey is buying gas from Israel, it appears on paper Turkey is against Israel, but behind the paper Turkey makes deals with Israel all the time for products and natural gas, interesting??
