Two New Dayanim Appointed to Badatz of the Eidah Hachareidis
Last week, the administration of the Eidah Hachareidis of Yerushalayim announced that two new dayanim have been appointed to its Beis Din Tzedek (Badatz) to serve the growing communities. The two are Rav Nesanel Brandsdorfer and Rav Yisroel Blau.
Rabbi Nesanel Brandsdorfer is a son of Rabbi Meir Brandsdorfer, zt”l (1934-2009), who served as Toldos Avrohom Yitzchok Rav, Badatz Dayan, and author of Koneh Bosem. Rabbi Nesanel is also the brother of Rabbi Yosef Kaddish Brandsdorfer, author of Chezkas Taharos on cemeteries and Orah V’Simcha in six volumes on the Rambam, and Edah Heichal Hora’ah Dayan, Rabbi Moshe Bransdorfer, both affiliates of the Badatz.
Rabbi Yisroel Blau is the son of Rabbi Yeshaya Blau and grandson of Rabbi Amram Blau, zt”l (1894-1974), founder and leader of the Neturei Karta (not to be confused by the so-called Neturei Karta led by lunatics who are associated with Ahmadinejad of Iran).
The Edah, as well as its Badatz, are greatly respected throughout the world. The kashrus certification of the Badatz, though besieged by competitors lately, is universally accepted and held as the highest classification of kashrus. As the member congregations of the Edah grow, in the number of congregations as well as in its membership, the need for additional dayanim is pronounced. The appointment of the new dayanim fills the needs of the growing congregations.
Rabbi Yisroel Blau lives at 18 Rechov Yechezkel in Jerusalem and Rabbi Nesanel Brandsdorfer lives on Rechov Ben Ish Chain in Bet Shemesh.

And, stop the editorializing (how this group of extremists are not those extremists, how great the hechsher is, how great the organization is, etc.) It’s unbecoming.

Actaully if you look in the Pischei HaChoshen Rav Blau`s father`s name is Rav Baruch Yehuda & he is not a descendent of Rav Amram Blau

Rav Amram Blau ztvk”l (of the true Neteurei Karta) is sorely missed by Klal Yisroel.
#3: Eidah’s hechsher needs no plug. It is the universal gold standard.
