The number of measles cases in the Big Apple shot up to 390 Wednesday from 374 just two days earlier — and now includes two pregnant women, according to the city Department of Health.

“We have now identified two expectant mothers who have contracted measles,” said Health Commissioner Dr. Oxiris Barbot.

“These cases are stark reminders of why New Yorkers must get vaccinated against the measles as soon as possible. When we do not get vaccinated, we put our friends, our relatives, our neighbors, our classmates and other fellow New Yorkers at risk.”

  1. Did the pregnant women get vaccinated? If not they have no one else to blame but themselves.

If they were vaccinated they should sue the people who gave them and infected them.

  2. This is horrendous!! Measles in a pregnant woman is associated with an increased risk for miscarriage, stillbirth, prematurity. We already know these terribly selfish people don’t care about anyone other than themselves-don’t they even care about their unborn child?? For the sake of klal yisroel and the sakanah and chillul hashem this is all causing, it’s time to hold these people down and vaccinate them against their will. We can’t allow these rodfim to continue to cause damage to our communities!

  3. If this woman would have not been vaccinated as a kid, and gotten the measles when meant to be gotten- AS A CHILD. Then, she wouldn’t be at risk now. But, being that she was vaccinated and didn’t get lifetime immunity this can happen. Now I ask you- Wouldn’t it be smarter to get over the measles as a kid? When we’re more resilient?

    • It must be a side effect of the vaccination that blocks their heads to logical understanding.
