The U.S. will soon ban citizens from traveling to North Korea, the Department of State confirmed on Friday. Secretary of State Rex Tillerson will implement a “geographical travel restriction” for North Korea, making it illegal to use U.S. passports to enter the country. Young Pioneer Tours and Koryo Tours also said on Friday that they had been informed in advance of the ban, which would be announced on July 27 and then take effect in late August.
The reported ban follows the death last month of American student Otto Warmbier, who he was arrested in North Korea and sentenced to 15 years of hard labor. Read more at THE GUARDIAN.
