Defense Secretary Ash Carter told reporters Thursday that he has asked Pentagon leaders to
“fine tune” U.S. strategy for pushing ISIS out of Iraq. The focus on better training and arming of Sunni tribes comes after ISIS forces managed to take the Iraqi capital of Anbar province, Ramadi, earlier this month despite being outnumbered.
Carter previously said the loss of Ramadi was in part because the Iraqis lacked “the will to fight.” Read more at ABC News.
