British security services are on “high alert” for an attack involving a beheading in the wake of the Charlie Hebdo shooting, police said Tuesday.

Authorities are concerned over extremists copying ISIS in the killing of James Foley, Alan Henning and David Haines after monitoring online chatter by jihadists, The Times reports.

A recent tweet from an account of a man claiming to be fighting with ISIS in Syria read, “Allahu akbar! Islamic State has killed a British soldier in Britain in his home.”

Though police have not found any such murder to take place in Britain, the tweet has triggered a major alert and investigation in the wake of last week’s attack on the Paris offices of satirical newspaper Charlie Hebdo. Read more at The Independent.
